Police in Wellington say it's frustrating dealing with another family violence incident, after a stabbing turned into a tragedy for one family.
A 28-year-old Porirua woman has been charged with murder, following the death of a 37-year-old man in Wellington Hospital early yesterday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Warwick McKee says the pair lived at the same Cannons Creek home, with several young children.
"Family violence is a real issue, however we're putting a lot of steps in place to prevent these incidents. This was a tragedy."
"It is frustrating, but we're doing our utmost to prevent these in the future."
